What is Argon gas?

Argon gas is a colorless, odorless and tasteless chemical element. It belongs to the group of noble gases in the periodic table of chemical elements and has the chemical symbol Ar. Argon has an atomic number of 18 and a relative atomic mass of 39.95. It is present in air in very small proportions (about 0.93% by volume) and does not react chemically with other elements.

What is Argon gas used for:
